Program of “Connecting the Engineering Graduation Projects with the Industrial Sector”

Objectives: 

  • Reduce the gap between the industrial and academic sector through implementing engineering graduation projects in Jordanian universities at the factories of members of the Amman Chamber of Industry.
  • Contribute to meeting the needs of projects in the various administrative, scientific and technical domains and enhance the competitive, productive and export capacities.
  • Enhance the capabilities of students and impart to them experience and skills to prepare them to enter the job market in the industrial sector.
  • Augment cooperation and coordination between the industrial and academic sectors.

The conditions to be met by factories which may submit applications to avail of the services of the Program:

  • Membership of the Amman Chamber of Industry and renewal of annual subscription.
  • This service is free of charge. 

Program Services: 

  1. Implementation of specialized projects in the industrial sector in various engineering domains, and benefit from the outputs and recommendations of graduation projects by the factory in addition to availing of the capabilities and resources of the faculty members supervising the implementation of the projects. 
  2. Offer financial assistance to the students who implement graduation projects within the framework of the Program, such in the amount of (200) Dinars per student or of a maximum of (600) Dinars for the project.
  3. Participate in the engineering graduation projects competition implemented in the industrial sector by the supervising professor or student without need for nomination by the department. 

Program Work Mechanism:

First Mechanism

  1. The Amman Chamber of Industry shall communicate with the factories by fax or email concerning the Program.
  2. The factory interested in participating in the Program must complete the application form Click here GP.1 and state the needs of the factory in any of the engineering specializations and resend it to the Amman Chamber of Industry at fax number 464752 or send it by email to razan@aci.org.jo. “The factory may send the application form at any time of the year.”
  3. The Amman Chamber of Industry shall list the projects based on the applications incoming from the projects in the list of graduation projects.
  4. It would be possible to provide the list of faculties of engineering in Jordanian universities “Click here GP.2” or you may refer to the Department of Industrial Development in the Amman Chamber of Industry to inquire about the list or the Program at any time at the above-mentioned contact addresses.
  5. For the university professor or students to inquire about the possibility of implementing the graduation project, it is necessary to send an inquiry form Click here GP.3 relating to the project to the Amman Chamber of Industry by email razan@aci.org.jo or fax number 06-4647852.
  6. The Chamber shall contact the factory to inquire about the project and reply by email to the supervising professor or students and inform them of the possibility of implementing the project at the factory, and supply them with the contact addresses of the factory.
  7. A visit to the factory shall be organized by the university professor and the students with a view to identifying the needs of the factory relating to the graduation project and agreeing upon the work mechanism with the responsible person at the factory and following up as is necessary.
  8. In case of agreement with the factory on implementation of the project an email shall be sent to razan@aci.org.jo to reserve the project of the students through the university professor.
  9. Commence implementation of the graduation project by the concerned students and under the supervision of the university professor.
  10. Upon completion of the implementation of the graduation project, the student shall follow up with the Chamber to be supplied with the letter form Click here GP.4 required for sending by the factory showing that the students implemented the tasks required of them insofar as the graduation project and that the factory received a copy of the report particular to the graduation project while also stating the names of the students as well as the project evaluation form Click here GP.5.
  11. The students shall deliver the original copy of the letter printed on the official paper of the factory with its letterhead signed and stamped by the responsible person at the factory, in addition to the project evaluation form signed and stamped by the factory, and the letter shall be delivered by hand to the Chamber by the students. 
  12. The students participating in the implementation of the project shall furnish the Chamber with copies of the university and civil IDs, and subsequently the Chamber shall disburse the financial assistance amounting to (200) Dinars to every student or a maximum of (600) Dinars for the project. 

Second Mechanism

  1. The Amman Chamber of Industry shall communicate with the university professors to determine the ideas of graduation projects for those that wish to apply them in factories and to submit the form Click here GP.6
  2. Circulate the projects incoming from the professors among the factories and coordinate with the factories interested in implementing those projects.
  3. Supply the professors with the information necessary for follow up with the factory. 
  4. The visit to the factory will be coordinated by the university professor and students with a view to identify the needs of the factory from the graduation project and agree upon the work mechanism with the responsible person at the factory and follow up as required.
  5. In case agreement is reached with the factory to implement the project an email shall be sent to razan@aci.org.jo to reserve the project of the students.
  6. Initiate implementation of the graduation project by the concerned students under the supervision of the university professor.
  7. After completing implementation of the graduation project, the students shall follow up with the Chamber to be supplied with the letter form Click here GP.4 that must be sent by the factory showing that the students implemented the tasks required of them insofar as the graduation project and that the factory received a copy of the report on the graduation project while alluding to the names of students in addition to the project evaluation form Click here GP.5.
  8. The students shall deliver the original copy of the letter printed on paper with the letterhead of the factory signed and stamped by the responsible person at the factory, in addition to an evaluation form for the project stamped by the factory, and the letter shall be delivered by hand to the Chamber by the students.
The students participating in the implementation of the project shall supply the Chamber with university and civil IDs, and thereafter the Chamber shall disburse the financial assistance of (200) Dinars to every student or a maximum of (600) Dinars for the project.
