The Competition of Engineering Graduation Projects Implemented in the Industrial Sector

Objectives:

  1. Connect the academic and industrial sectors and bridge the gap between them.
  2. Develop Jordanian industry and advance the engineering profession. 
  3. Enhance the standard of engineering graduation projects and the quality of their outputs. 
  4. Increase the interest of the professors and students of engineering faculties in implementing graduation projects in the industrial sector which simulate the reality and needs of this sector. 
  5. Enhance the capabilities and skills of the students of engineering factories so as to better secure job opportunities for them in the industrial sector.

Conditions for Participating in the Competition: 

  1. The graduation projects of the students of engineering faculties shall be in any of the Jordanian universities for receiving the Bachelor’s degree in any of the engineering specializations through the current session of the competition. 
  2. The subject of the graduation project shall be related to one of the factories registered in any of the chambers of industry in Jordan through coordination and agreement with the concerned factory. 

Services and Special Feature Particular to the Graduation Projects Implemented in the Industrial Sector: 

  1. The way will be open to all the projects implemented in the industrial sector by the students and professors supervising the graduation projects to directly enter the competition without having to be nominated by the universities. 
  2. Priority is given to employing recently graduated engineers who have previously implemented graduation projects in the industrial sector which competed for the prizes of the competition, such through the program of the Jordanian Engineers Association for training with the aim of employment.

Mechanism of Applying in the Competition:

  1. Complete and submit the application from GPA.1 in a sufficient and precise manner while giving due regard to the following: 
    a- Each candidate’s full names shall be mentioned. 
    b- The personal and updated telephone numbers of the students shall be shown. 
    c- The name of the person responsible in the factory who followed up and supervised the students during implementation of the project shall be indicated while also mentioning the contact information of the factory. 
  2. Submission of the graduation project report (a hardcopy and softcopy on a CD) in addition to any other enclosures related to the project such as (plans, models, software, etc.) provided that the project does not include any indicators of the identity of the students or the name of the supervisor or the university on all the enclosures such as (cover page, page of dedication,.. etc.).   3. The graduation project report must include the following: 
    a) Project description
    b) Methodology and methods of research 
    c) Findings and recommendations 
    d) Sources and references
    e) Address page
    f) Table of contents
    g) Abstract
    h) Introduction 
  4. The application shall be submitted to the secretary of the committee of supervision of the graduation projects at the headquarters of the Jordanian Engineers Association- Shmeissani area- Telephone (5000900) Ext. (248), Cell. (0797366331), such effective from 1/6/2017 until the deadline on 15/9/2017.
