Zahran: Opening of an air freight road with a length of more than 7 km within two months

27-Feb-2022

Zahran deplores the abolition of the newly approved export incentives on the pretext that it contradicts the laws of the World Trade Organization * A member of the Amman Chamber of Industry, Ismail Zahran, announced that during the next month, an air freight route with a length of more than 7 km will be opened.

He also pointed out that other roads were paved as alternatives while working on the air freight road north of the Qastal area to serve the northern industrial area and the southern road that connects with the airport road. In a press statement, Zahran confirmed that the Qastal and Al-Mashta industrial areas are among the large areas to be an industrial area, considering that the eyes of investors are heading towards them.

He added, that annually at least 10 to 20 new factories are opened despite the very difficult circumstances, whether global, Arab or local, for industrialists as a result of constantly changing laws and legislation with unconvincing arguments.

He deplored the tendency to cancel the newly approved export incentives on the pretext that they contradict the laws of the World Trade Organization. He stressed that despite all these obstacles, the industrialists continue their efforts to create job opportunities and create added value for their products to compete with their counterparts.

He pointed out that the goal of establishing the Qastal and Al-Mashta Industrial Association under the umbrella of the Amman Chamber of Industry is to solve the problems facing industrialists and provide a competitive business environment and a good infrastructure for factories.

He valued the role of the Ministry of Works represented by the Minister of Works, Eng. Yahya Al-Kasabi, in supporting this project, stressing that this has positive benefits that will accrue to investors, enabling them to attract new investments, given the strategic location of the Qastal and Al-Mashta industrial areas, due to their proximity to the capital Amman and other industrial areas.

He stressed that the chamber will work in cooperation with the Qastal and Al-Mashta Industrial Association to continue to demand the provision of infrastructure for the region in terms of sanitation, water provision, a security center, a health center, a civil defense center and other needs of industrialists.
