The
Amman Chamber of Industry’s exports increased during the past nine months of
this year by 8 percent, compared to the same period in 2019, driven by the
improvement in the performance of most sectors.
Statistical data of the Chamber, a copy of which was obtained by
the Jordan News Agency (Petra), showed that Amman’s industry exports amounted
to 3.692 billion dinars during the past nine months of this year, compared to
3.43 billion dinars for the same period in 2019.
India, the United States of America, Iraq and Saudi Arabia
accounted for the majority of the Chamber's exports during the past nine months
of this year, registering a value of 2.163 million dinars.
The Chamber’s exports to the United States of America increased during the past
nine months of this year by 62 percent, making it at the forefront of Arab and
foreign countries that received the most exports of Amman’s industry,
registering a value of 686 million dinars, compared to 423 million dinars for
the same period in 2019.
According to statistical data, the Chamber rose during the past
nine months of this year to India by 25 percent, to reach about 652 million
dinars, compared to 522 million dinars for the same period in 2019.
On the other hand, the Chamber’s exports to Saudi Arabia decreased
during the past nine months of this year by 8 percent, declining to about 429
million dinars, compared to 469 million dinars for the same period in 2019.
Amman’s industry exports declined during the past nine months of
this year to the Iraqi market by 1 percent, recording 396 million dinars,
compared to 402 million dinars for the same period in 2019.
Statistical data showed that Amman’s industry exports increased
during the past nine months of this year to Syria by 21 percent, reaching about
65 million dinars, compared to 54 million dinars for the same period in 2019.
Amman Chamber of Industry exports increased during the past nine
months of this year to many Arab and foreign countries, most notably the United
Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Brazil, Algeria, Sudan, Yemen, Libya, Belgium,
Malaysia and Spain.
On the other hand, the Chamber's exports decreased during the past
nine months of this year to many countries, including Palestine, Egypt, Kuwait,
Lebanon, China, Qatar, Japan, Italy, Tunisia, the United Kingdom and Canada.
The Chamber’s exports during the last nine months of this year
were distributed to the mining industries sectors with a value of 957 million
dinars, chemical and cosmetics 801 million dinars, curative and medical
supplies 447 million dinars. The value of 333 million dinars.
The rest of the Chamber's exports during the last nine months of
this year were distributed to the sectors of packaging, paper, cardboard and
office supplies industries with a value of 160 million dinars, plastic and
rubber 141 million dinars, construction 69 million dinars, and finally the wood
and furniture industries with a value of 13 million dinars.
