Jaghbir: The memorandum
was established for a constructive cooperation framework with one of the
important economic blocs in the region.
The Jordan Chamber of Industry signed a memorandum of understanding with the
Baghdad Chamber of Commerce with the aim of regulating economic cooperation,
information exchange, trade delegations and research.
The memorandum was signed by the President of the Jordan Chamber of Industry,
Fathi Al-Jaghbir, and the President of the Baghdad Chamber of Commerce, Firas
Rasoul Jaafar, in the presence of the Jordanian Ambassador to Iraq, Dr.
Montaser Al-Uqla.
Eng. Jaghbir stressed that this memorandum establishes a framework for
constructive cooperation between the two parties, noting that the Baghdad
Chamber of Commerce is one of the important economic blocs at the level of
countries in the region.
He pointed out that this memorandum will provide a great benefit to the
Jordanian and Iraqi industry in terms of supporting many forms of cooperation
between the two parties, such as multiple research, holding joint events and
events, and exchanging information on Jordanian and Iraqi standards on the
methods used in responsible business activities in the business and industry
sectors.
Among the areas of cooperation, he added, is providing technical advice on the
basis of relevant work standards for responsible business conduct, and
supporting partnership between the Jordanian and Iraqi private sectors in
various business fields.
He pointed out that the Baghdad Chamber of Commerce will also contribute to
facilitating the process of granting entry visas to Iraqi businessmen
interested in participating in the events that will be held under the auspices
of the Jordan Chamber of Industry.
