AlJaghbir praises the practical steps of the Minister of Labor to correct the employment situation

Al-Jaghbir: The industrial sector is amassing employment capabilities that will contribute to reducing unemployment rates

The Jordan Chamber of Industry valued the Cabinet's decision to approve the procedures for legalizing and reconciling the conditions of non-Jordanian workers in violation in accordance with the Labor Law and the regulations and instructions issued thereunder.

According to the decision, the legalization period and the regularization of the status of non-Jordanian workers will start from 7/4/2021 and end on 2/9/2021.

The head of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, Eng. Fathi Al-Jaghbir, confirmed that the cabinet's decision contains measures that contribute to alleviating the financial burdens on economic sectors by canceling fines and some required fees.

Eng. AlJaghbir praised the practical steps of the Minister of Labor to correct the employment situation, which is reflected in the provision of liquidity to the economic establishments on the one hand.

He stressed the correction of employment conditions supports the provision of more stability in the work environment on the other hand, and in what is ultimately in the interest of the national economy in light of the exceptional circumstances it is going through.

Jaghbir stressed that the measures taken by the decision to allow employers to use non-Jordanian labor in the Jordanian market will inevitably contribute to advancing the production wheel in light of the need and privacy of some sectors in the use of non-Jordanian labor.

Al-Jagbir called on the government to develop a comprehensive strategy to reduce unemployment, especially among Jordanian youth, by focusing on supporting the industrial sector as it is the engine of employment and economic growth in the Kingdom.

He pointed out that the industrial sector is hoarding operational capabilities that will contribute to reducing unemployment rates in the event of unleashing these capabilities, and the true belief in the role and importance of the national industry, which has proven its existence during the pandemic.
