Alrai _ The American Chamber of Commerce in Jordan held an online dialogue session to
discuss ways to increase Jordanian companies' exports to the United States of
America. The session discussed the importance of joint work between export
promotion institutions and those that provide grants and subsidies, to help
Jordanian companies grow and increase exports. The Chamber said in a statement
today, Monday, that the participants in the session discussed priorities and
strategic measures for the next two years, which will help Jordanian companies
in the industrial and service sector recover from the challenges resulting from
the Corona pandemic by taking advantage of Jordanian-American trade and
investment relations to strengthen the Jordanian economy.
They also discussed the future plans and activities of the National Trade
Coalition, which is a dialogue platform between the public and private sectors,
and aims to strengthen bilateral economic relations between Jordan and the
United States since its establishment in 2001.
The former Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Wissam
Al-Rabadi, said that the Export House Company enjoys a strong partnership with
the American Chamber of Commerce, stressing his support for working within the
National Trade Coalition, to help companies reach the American market. He added
that the Corona pandemic has disrupted supply chains, which requires Jordanian
companies not to rely only on traditional markets, and to expand in
non-traditional markets, such as the American market, to diversify their
revenues and exports. The head of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry,
Eng. Fathi Al-Jaghbir, said that the US-Jordan Free Trade Agreement is one of
the most effective trade agreements concluded by Jordan, in terms of trade
volume supported by smooth administrative processes and low bureaucracy. Jagbir
called on industrial and service companies to explore the opportunities offered
by the agreement, through the programs of the National Trade Coalition.The head
of the Irbid Chamber of Commerce, Muhammad Al-Shouha, stressed that challenges
can only be overcome through joint action through the National Trade Coalition,
calling for intensified efforts to integrate sectors that enhance

Jordan and the United States, and the role of the National Trade Coalition in
developing trade relations between the two countries, developing their
knowledge and enhancing their benefit from the opportunities available to open

Activities launched by the Chamber on the occasion of the twenty-year
anniversary of the signing of the Free Trade Agreement between Jordan and the
United States of America, with the support of the US Agency for International
Development through the Best Practices for Economic Growth in the Middle East project.
