Almamlka _ On Thursday, Minister of Labor Yousef Al-Shamali took measures that would facilitate the regulation of the labor market and help employers to maintain the work of their facilities by motivating them to renew work permits for non-Jordanian workers who work for them and who did not renew their work permits during the period of the Corona virus pandemic.
The minister said, "These measures come in the context of alleviating private sector employers from the repercussions of the Corona pandemic, by simplifying the procedures related to the renewal of work permits for non-Jordanian workers working for them."
And he indicated that "the decisions he issued include allowing the non-Jordanian worker to move to another employer upon the expiry or cancellation of his work permit, without the need to present a clearance from his previous employer for nationalities not restricted to residency in the permitted sectors."
Al-Shamali added that he "decided to cancel the requirement to specify housing for non-Jordanian workers from security centers for all nationalities, in addition to canceling the requirement to present the professions license, commercial register, works permit, registration deed, and approvals of the residents of the building in the event of renewal on the employer himself," noting that he decided to include the extension of the period The validity of the bank authorization is from 3 months to a year if the text of the authorization is for a year.
He stressed that he abolished the limitation of workers' leave of a maximum of 3 months (exit and return) in the agricultural sector, in addition to canceling the requirement to grant leave (exit and return) after the lapse of 6 months for workers recruited in all sectors.
