Alghad - 30 local industrial companies specializing in food will start their participation in the Gulf Food Exhibition "Gulf Food 2021", which specializes in food and food technology, which will open tomorrow, Sunday, in Dubai.
Jordanian participation in the five-day exhibition is organized by the Jordanian Exporters Association, with the support of the Investment Commission, while companies are distributed among the industries of sweets, dairy, frozen foods, spices, dates and chocolate.
The Association's President, Eng. Omar Abu Wishah, said in a press statement today, Saturday, that the exhibition will provide a great opportunity for Jordanian industrial companies to promote their products and attract new agents and compensate for the period of forced absence from foreign participation due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
He added that the "Gulf Food" exhibition is one of the most important exhibitions specialized in the field of food in the world, as thousands of international companies participate in it, and large commercial deals are being concluded on its sidelines, explaining that the association has been organizing Jordanian participation in the exhibition for 18 years.
Engineer Abu Wishah indicated that businesswomen will participate in the exhibition through the Association of Business and Professional Women’s Club, while the Jordanian participation will be sponsored by Capital Bank, indicating that the Jordanian Pavilion will be built on an area of 820 square meters.
He pointed out that the Exporters Association is keen to participate annually in the exhibition with the aim of enabling Jordanian companies to get acquainted with their counterparts with merchants participating in the exhibition from around the world, which constitutes a real opportunity to exchange experiences and search for new export markets.
The exhibition includes eight sections specialized in beverages, dairy products, fats and oils, health products, organic materials, pulses, cereals, grains, meat and poultry, major brands and international foods.
He pointed out that the participation of Jordanian industrial companies in specialized foreign exhibitions is the most important way to promote their products and open new export markets, stressing the importance of continuing to do so to ensure their presence in foreign markets, similar to what many countries of the world do.
Engineer Abu Wishah affirmed that the association will continue to organize Jordanian participations in foreign exhibitions, based on its role in supporting exporters and providing them with opportunities to promote their products and enhance its presence in global markets, especially in the United States, Canada and European countries.
It is noteworthy that the Jordanian food industries sector constitutes 15 percent of the total number of industrial establishments operating in the Kingdom, with a number of 2,645 establishments, providing 50 thousand job opportunities, with a registered capital of 641 million dinars, and a volume of fixed assets close to two billion dinars.
