Alrai _The Ministers of Industry and Trade in Jordan, Egypt and Iraq held a meeting
through audio-visual communication technology, on Wednesday, and agreed on
steps to enhance industrial integration and facilitate trade between the three
countries, in addition to the joint Iraqi-Jordanian economic city.
The ministers identified national contact points from the three countries, and
assigned them to discuss the necessary measures to facilitate intra-trade,
eliminate difficulties, and frame industrial cooperation and
integration. The meeting included Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply
Maha Ali, Iraqi Minister of Industry and Minerals Manhal Aziz Al-Khabaz, and
Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Nevin Jameh. The meeting came as a
follow-up to the tripartite Jordanian-Egyptian-Iraqi ministerial meeting that
was held in Cairo on December 12th, in implementation of the outcomes of the
tripartite summit held in Amman in August.
The ministerial meeting discussed the work plan and mechanisms necessary to
implement what was agreed upon during the tripartite meeting in Cairo.
The three ministers agreed to hold a meeting in Amman, during the month of
January 2021, to discuss results and developments in all fields.
