Ammon _ The Minister of Public Works and Housing, Eng. Yahya Al-Kasbi, stressed the importance of supporting the industrial sector and providing infrastructure to serve industrial complexes in various regions.
This came during the meeting held at the ministry on Wednesday, in the presence of the Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Maha Al-Ali and the head of the Amman Chamber of Industry and Jordan Industry, Engineer Fathi Al-Jaghbir.
Al-Kasbi stressed the importance of these meetings, which reflect coordination, harmony and high participation among the members of the government team, stressing the importance of giving national products priority in the implementation of construction in Jordan.
For its part, Al-Ali appreciated the initiative of the Ministry of Works to arrange this meeting and its keenness to support the industrial sector in Jordan, stressing the importance of the sustainability of these meetings.
During the meeting, a number of issues and topics related to supporting local industries were discussed, whether related to the quality standards of the national industry, the challenges facing the industrial sector in Jordan, and the consideration of granting price preference in the issue of the construction sector and the mechanism for providing support by works for this sector in Jordan.
It was agreed to form a technical committee to study the reality of national industries and their uses in the implementation of bidding work.
Al-Kasbi stated that a field visit will be arranged next week to inspect the Al-Qastal / Air Cargo Road, and the start of the work date for this road will be announced as it is included in the Kuwaiti loan for the purposes of its rehabilitation.
The meeting was attended by the acting secretary general of the ministry, Eng. Marwan Al Jamaani, the director of government tenders, Eng. Mahmoud Khleifat, and the director general of the Amman Chamber of Industry, Dr. Nael Al-Husami.
