Al-Faraya: Jordan is attractive for investments and many facilities provided by the Ministry of Interior to investors


Al-Jaghbeer: The Investor Protection Unit contributes to stabilizing investments in the Kingdom

Interior Minister Mazen Al-Faraya stressed the importance of Jordanian industry in supporting the national economy and alleviating the problem of unemployment, which is one of the haunting problems in Jordan, pointing to the pride of Jordanians in the advanced level reached by the industry, as evidenced by its presence in many international markets.

Al-Faraya added during a meeting at the Amman Chamber of Industry with industrial investors, Tuesday, to discuss the most important issues facing these industrialists with regard to the work of the Ministry of Interior, in the presence of the Director of the Directorate of Nationality, Foreigners Affairs and Investment in the ministry, Dr. Basem Al-Dahamsheh, that Jordan is an attractive country for investment and offers investors competitive advantages, in addition to the electronic services and facilities provided by the Ministry of Interior, including the electronic visa and residence for five years for investors and their families, and many other advantages, as the Security Directorate secures General protection for investors from extortion, threats and harassment through its Investor Protection Unit, stressing that all issues that will be raised during this meeting will be presented to the concerned authorities.

For his part, the Chairman of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, Eng. Fathi Al-Jaghbeer, praised the cooperation of the Ministry of Interior in all issues of concern to investors, especially with regard to protecting them from any extortion or threat, adding that this meeting comes within the policy of the Chamber's Management Council, in holding direct meetings that bring together ministers and officials of industrial work with industrial investors to see directly the issues and problems facing industrial work.

Al-Jaghbeer explained that the Chamber has held several previous meetings with industrial investors, especially non-Jordanians, to see their problems, and the Ministry of Interior was addressed with these issues, the most prominent of which was the adoption of the investor's card (A + B) as a residence document in all government departments and agencies and the private sector such as banks, and exempting the investor from issuing the security card (white) as long as he holds the investor card, usually activating the passage of investors from land crossings within the path of (diplomats and investors), reconsidering the procedures for granting the security card For investors, especially the medical examination and its annual renewal, and the development of clear and easy instructions for granting driving licenses to investors and their families, and allowing investors to own more than one private car or residential house, and reviewing the advantages that were granted to investors in free zones and canceled under the new law, including granting the investor card to those who issue an amount of one million dollars.

During the meeting, investors raised issues related to reports that are registered to employers without informing them, as well as instructions for granting Jordanian citizenship to investors and their families, and the need to work to facilitate Jordanians' access to entry visas for some countries, in addition to facilitating the movement of workers between factories.
