The Chairman of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, Eng. Fathi Al-Jaghbeer, stressed the importance of new industrial investments, which were announced during the celebration of the "Jordanian Industry Day", which was organized by the Chamber, Monday, under the royal patronage and in the presence of the Prime Minister.
Al-Jaghbir added that these new industrial investments, which have already been established or are in the final stages of establishment, and in which the volume of investment is about $ 850 million, will contribute to providing 3650 new job opportunities for the people of this country, and its exports are expected to reach one billion and 200 million dollars, explaining that the importance of these investments stems from being new industries and some will contribute to providing the necessary raw materials for many factories, which will reduce the volume of imports, as well as prove that Jordan It enjoys an attractive investment environment.
On the most prominent of these investments, Al-Jaghbeer pointed out that Taiba Company for Metal Industries will establish a new industrial complex for the production of bridges and iron sections in the Muwaqqar area with an investment size of up to 30 million dinars, where this complex is expected to produce 300 thousand tons of iron raw materials necessary for the construction and metal industries, and this project is characterized by that it has no analogues in Jordan, and the complex will also include a factory for the production of paper, especially kraft paper, where it is expected that this factory will provide Its capital is 55 million dinars, 400 new job opportunities, with an expected export volume of 100 million dinars.
The new investments also include a Canadian investment for an aluminum recycling plant in Aqaba, supervised by Orbit Aluminium Industries, which is expected to produce 120 tons per year of aluminum rolls using rolling technology, which are raw materials needed for the aluminum industry, and will provide 450 new jobs with an expected export volume of up to $ 40 million.
Al-Jaghbir pointed out that the Philadelphia Solar Energy Company will establish a new semiconductor production plant in the Mashta Industrial Zone with an investment size of $ 100 million, and is expected to provide 500 new jobs with an expected export volume of $ 350 million annually.
The new investments also include a Chinese investment in the Jinsing International Ceramic Factory in the Qatrana area in Karak, with an investment size of $ 65 million, and is expected to provide 350 direct jobs and 100 indirect jobs, with an export volume of 37 million dinars annually.
In the capital Amman, Petra Pharmaceutical Company will invest $ 40 million in a factory for the production of various pharmaceuticals, which is expected to provide 60 new jobs, with an expected export volume of $ 4 million, as the local market is the most targeted market for this investment.
The Jordanian Company for the manufacture and printing of tin and metal containers, based in the Muwaqqar area, will establish a new factory for the manufacture of metal covers, which is the first of its kind in the Kingdom, which will provide these covers in a way that contributes to reducing their imports, with an investment size of up to $ 25 million, where the factory will provide 100 new jobs with an expected export volume of $ 7 million.
Misk Pharmaceutical Industries, one of the new investments operating in the pharmaceutical industry, with an investment volume of 15 million dinars, is expected to provide 250 job opportunities within 3 years, with an expected export volume of 10 million dinars.
Heritage, Experience and Quality Company for the manufacture and sale of candies and chocolates, a new Lebanese investment, in the Madaba Development Zone, will provide 150 job opportunities with an export volume of 10 million dinars.
Khattab Industrial Group will make a new investment in the Qastal area, in the field of paper and cardboard recycling with an investment size of up to 100 million dinars and exports expected to reach 70 million dinars, and the investment will provide 700 new jobs.
The Arab Company for the manufacture of pesticides and veterinary medicines, one of the leading companies in the field of veterinary medicines and agricultural pesticides, will establish a factory with an investment size of up to 200 million dinars and is expected to provide 1,500 new jobs.
