Alrai _ The head of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, Engineer Fathi Al-Jaghbir, affirmed that the Jordanian poultry industry has witnessed a great development in terms of quality and quantity of production in recent years, so that it has become able to meet the needs of the local market in terms of chicken and eggs, and within safety and high quality standards, indicating that the annual production capacity Jordanian poultry factories amount to 240,000 tons of poultry meat and one billion two hundred and fifty million table eggs, and this production constitutes 125% of the consumption in the Kingdom.

This came during a tour organized by the Amman Chamber of Industry to Al-Jazeera Agricultural Company, in the presence of the representative of the food industries sector in the Jordan Chamber of Industry, Muhammad Walid Al-Jitan, a member of the board of directors of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, Tamim Al-Qasrawi, and Dr. Iyad Abu-Tam, head of the Made in Jordan campaign, chairman of the board of directors and general manager of the giant group Hassan Al-Smadi Media professionals were briefed on the stages of poultry production in this pioneering company. The representative of the food industries sector in the Jordan Chamber of Industry,

Muhammad Walid Al-Jitan, explained that the value of investments in the poultry industry reaches one and a half billion dinars, and these factories employ approximately (30) thousand workers, and annually 250 million table eggs are issued and 25 million eggs hatching meat and one million Egg hatching brood fish.

Head of the Made in Jordan campaign, Dr. Iyad Abu Haltam, indicated that the campaign will work within its future strategy to highlight the extent of development witnessed by the national industry by focusing on products with high specifications that have achieved popularity in the local and export markets.

The general manager of Al-Jazeera Agricultural Company, Eng. Abdel Nasser Al-Husseini, explained that the factory is an integrated institution in the production of poultry, starting from broiler farms, broiler farms, feed factories and a poultry slaughterhouse, reaching the central laboratory to follow up all production samples.

Al-Husseini added that the factory employs 1250 employees and workers under the supervision of a group of veterinarians and agricultural engineers, explaining that the company holds an ISO certificate, HSP, and a general advisory certificate for halal slaughter.
