Alghad ـــ The head of the Good Account Committee, Reem Abu Hassan, said that the total donations that reached the account as of yesterday amounted to 3.285 million dinars from different groups of society.
She added that the classification of donations was distributed among a figure of 37%, the public sector 33%, banks, companies, the private sector 20%, associations and civil society institutions 10%.
She indicated during a ceremony honoring industrial companies supporting the charitable account yesterday, Wednesday, that the account came with the aim of providing support to the groups affected by the emerging Corona Virus crisis, which do not receive any support from social entities or funds, in addition to the children of Jordanian women and the Gaza Strip.
Abu Hassan expressed her thanks to the Amman Chamber of Industry for its continuous cooperation with the charitable account, whether in terms of media promotion or feeding the account.
And it showed that the charitable account is an old account that was established in 2010 and was added after the Corona crisis to the Himat Watan Fund, which is specialized for individuals and families affected by the pandemic.
She explained that the exchange operations from the charitable account are done in a transparent manner, and there is an auditor to verify the exchange mechanisms and the categories that are supported.
She pointed out that the charitable account is a reserve for the state to help the affected groups, pointing to cooperation with the Chamber and visiting factories.
Abu Hassan indicated that the industry is a tributary to development and provision, providing job opportunities, combating unemployment and social responsibility, and supporting groups in need of society.
She explained that placing the slogan of good calculation on many industrial products is considered one of the mechanisms of donations and encouraging support for the good account.
In turn, the Minister of Industry and Supplies, Dr. Tariq Al-Hamouri, pointed to the great efforts made by His Majesty King Abdullah II during the Corona Virus crisis, with the aim of protecting citizens and mitigating damage to economic sectors.
He also pointed to the efforts made by the commercial and industrial sectors to provide a safe stock of food and drug commodities and manufacturing requirements in the local market.
Minister Al-Hamouri affirmed that Jordan had been able to successfully manage the Corona virus crisis, as it had not witnessed any service interruptions and no shortage of food and basic commodities was recorded.
Al-Hammouri hailed the volunteer effort of the Charity Commission and its role in bearing part of the support provided to the groups most affected by the Corona crisis.
For his part, the head of the Jordan and Amman Chamber of Industry, Eng. Fathi Al-Jaghbir said that the chambers of industry initiated a donation to support the Ministry of Health since the beginning of the Corona crisis by an amount of one hundred thousand dinars, and she also urged its employees to donate to this end.
Al-Jaghbir added that the Corona pandemic showed the ability of the industrial sector to meet the needs of citizens with basic necessities at reasonable prices, and showed the importance of supporting small groceries in the Kingdom, suggesting that donations be used to calculate goodness to create a grocery chain in different regions of the Kingdom that operate the national workforce that there is no resource Another livelihood for it, as these groceries will contribute to employment in addition to promoting and selling national industrial products, which will benefit all parties.
