Alghad - His Majesty King Abdullah II affirmed that developing food industries is a priority to provide national food security, so that Jordan becomes a regional center.

His Majesty stressed, during his visit to Numan Al Junaidi Factories for Food Industries Company in Ain Al Basha region today, Sunday, the importance of focusing on supporting industries that use local production inputs.

His Majesty praised the company's experience in research and development, and the provision of local industrial solutions to improve production operations.

The company, which employs about a thousand Jordanians, provides innovative technological solutions to production mechanisms starting from the design and implementation stage and ending with the installation of modern production lines in the field of food industries, and innovation in production and packaging processes for their products, as the company has a factory in the Zarqa Free Zone to manufacture machinery for companies Domestic and export purposes.

During his tour of the company’s factories and production lines for its food industries, His Majesty listened to an explanation provided by the Chairman and General Manager of the company, Noman Al-Junaidi, in which he indicated that the company seeks to contribute to achieving food security in the Kingdom, maximizing the added value of the Jordanian agricultural product and converting it to quality manufactured food High for local market consumption and export to regional and global markets.

He pointed out that Al Juneidi Company is making great efforts in the field of continuous research and development to develop its food products and find new products that meet the needs of consumers from different groups, pointing out that 85 percent of the primary materials are local products.

According to Al-Juneidi, the company has branches in Palestine, America, Bulgaria, Germany and India that produce more than 140 varieties, in addition to a marketing and distribution center in the United Arab Emirates for distribution to all Arab Gulf countries.

The company includes multiple factories to produce a variety of foodstuffs that meet the needs of the local market, which contributes to achieving food security, in addition to export.

His Majesty was accompanied by the Prime Minister, Head of the Hashemite Royal Court, Advisor to His Majesty for Communication and Coordination, and His Majesty’s Advisor for Policies and Information.
