He said that the great effort exerted by the private sector was the beginnings of the crisis and until today it was a great effort that drew the attention of the world, which began looking to Jordanian industries, explaining that until June 15, some 300,000 medical bibs were exported, and about (100,000) medical labels. .
In his speech on observing markets and inspection teams, the minister said that the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply has about (80) inspectors, and this is not sufficient to monitor all markets, but with the "unified inspection" there have been about (2400 inspectors) from all ministries, the local administration and the Amman Municipality, and thus We were able to reach about (100,000 establishments) in a month and a half.
On the authority of public bodies, he said: We have developed a mechanism and instructions for meetings of public bodies (ON LINE), and in this way about (130) meetings have been held so far, and this Jordanian experiment has been approved and taken by the brothers in Egypt and Qatar.
On exports, the minister revealed a plan to increase exports, he said that it was continuous before the Corona crisis, indicating that he had previously pledged to increase exports to about 5%, and what was achieved at the end of 2019 reached about 6.8%, and this happens for the first time since 2014.
He pointed out that there is a problem in «base Exporters "that range from (200 to 300) exporters," therefore, "we are now working to increase the base of exporters in the" commodity and services "sectors, not just commodities, and we aim to increase exports by 7%."
Recalling the incentives previously launched by the government to increase exports, and confirming the ministry's continued provision of what it could for national industries to increase exports and open new markets.
Speaking about the "micro-sector", Dr. Al-Hamouri said that there is great interest and focus on this sector, especially in light of the lack of jobs in the government sector, and because this sector can play an important role in the employment of many, and therefore many steps have been taken to overcome the obstacles of "the economy" Domestic », starting with the work to spread the culture of“ home economics ”and not ending with joint measures with the National Aid Fund and the private sector to overcome obstacles and solve marketing problems and others.
