Almamlaka - Jordan Chamber of Industry Chairman Fathi Al-Jagbir said Saturday that all industrial sectors have been called for completion and electricity prices will be reduced during a meeting of the heads of the Chambers of Industry and Commerce with Prime Minister and Defense Minister Omar al-Razaz.

"Every day lost from the industry has a financial impact on the sector and on the treasury that loses taxes," he said.

"We have 250,000 workers and their burden must be removed from the government."

He noted that the industrial sector has an opportunity to export many products that exceed the needs of the domestic market in Jordan.

"Priority for what Jordan needs."

He stressed the ability of the industrial sector to meet all safety requirements to ensure that the virus does not spread.

He spoke of an agreement to continue meetings with the ministers concerned to discuss the mechanisms for opening factories, adding that "the subject is vital and important and does not accept postponement."

The prime minister said Friday that "Jordan has been subjected to many crises prepared for what it is now and the government is studying the repercussions of the economic crisis and we have a meeting with the heads of the chambers of industry and commerce to overcome this crisis,"" the presidential newspaper posted on Facebook.
