Alrai - The value of total exports increased during the first eleven months of last year by 8.1 percent to reach 5,346.5 billion dinars, compared to the same period in 2018.

The value of national exports, according to the monthly report of the Department of Statistics on Foreign Trade, during the same period: 4,540 billion dinars, an increase of 8.2 percent, while the value of re-exports amounted to 806 million dinars.

As for the monthly level, the value of national exports reached 405 million dinars during the month of November 2019, compared to 374 million dinars during the same month in 2018, indicating an increase of 8.3 percent.

The Kingdom's imports during the first eleven months of 2019 recorded a decrease of 4.1 percent to reach 12.611 billion, compared to the same period in 2018.

During the first 11 months of last year, the trade balance deficit decreased by 11.4 percent, to 7.6264 billion dinars, compared to the same period in 2018.

The Statistics Department said that the percentage of total export coverage of imports was 42.4 percent during the first eleven months of 2019, an increase of 4.8 percentage points, compared to the same period in 2018.

It is noteworthy that the trade deficit represents the difference between the value of imports and the value of total exports.
