Alrai - The exports of the Amman Chamber of Industry during the past 11
months of this year broke the barrier of 4 billion dinars driven by an increase
in exports of 7 industrial sectors.
According to
statistical data obtained by (Petra), Chamber exports during the past 11 months
of this year jumped to 4,142 billion dinars, compared to 3,856.3 billion dinars
for the same period last year 2018, an increase of 4.7 percent.
Four countries: India,
Saudi Arabia, the United States, and Iraq accounted for more than half of the
Chamber's exports during the past 11 months of this year, registering a value
of 2,167 billion dinars.
According to
statistical data, the Chamber's exports to India increased during the past 11
months of this year by 10 percent, making it at the forefront of Arab and
foreign countries most receiving their exports by 627 million dinars, compared
to 571 million dinars for the same period last year.
The Chamber's exports
to Saudi Arabia increased by 20 percent to reach about 546 million dinars
during the past 11 months of this year, compared to 453 million dinars for the
same period last year.
The Chamber's exports
to the United States during the past 11 months of this year increased by 9
percent to 505 million dinars, compared to about 463 million dinars for the
same period last year.
Statistical data showed
that the chamber's exports to the Iraqi market declined during the past 11
months of this year by 9 percent, down to about 490 million dinars, compared to
537 million dinars for the same period last year.
The Chamber's exports
to Palestine during the past 11 months of this year decreased by 13 percent,
amounting to 187 million dinars, compared to 216 million dinars for the same
period last year.
Statistical data showed
that the Chamber's exports increased during the past 11 months of this year to
many Arab and foreign countries, including China, Egypt, Indonesia, Syria,
Singapore, Kuwait, Yemen, Bahrain, Spain, Libya and other countries.
On the other hand, the
Chamber's exports declined during the same period for many Arab and foreign
countries, including Lebanon, Qatar, Sudan, Tunisia, Turkey, Italy, Belgium,
Malaysia, Australia and other countries.
The Chamber’s exports,
which were established in 1962, were distributed to the mining industries
sectors, at a value of 1.303 billion dinars, the chemical and cosmetic
industries, 844 million dinars, and the medical and medical supplies worth 583
million dinars.
The exports of the
leather and woven industries sectors amounted to about 451 million dinars, and
the ration, food, agricultural and livestock 412 million dinars, engineering,
electrical and information technology 377 million dinars.
The remaining exports
of the Amman Chamber of Industry were distributed to the sectors of packaging,
paper, cardboard and office supplies with a value of 196 million dinars,
plastic and rubber about 167 million dinars, construction 64 million dinars,
and finally the wood industries and furniture sector with a value of
approximately 15 million dinars.
