Almamlaka - Prime Minister Omar Razzaz said on Saturday that it is necessary to take measures to facilitate transport between Jordan, Egypt and Iraq, "reflecting on the trade exchange and economic relations that bring the three countries together."

During his meeting with Iraqi Transport Minister Abdullah Laibi and Egyptian Transport Minister Kamel al-Wazir, he said it is important to "strengthen cooperation in various transport sectors ... in order to achieve the integration that His Majesty King Abdullah II and Egyptian and Iraqi presidents are looking forward in the relationship between the three brotherly countries." 

Razzaz stressed that "this coordination reflects the common keenness to upgrade the various aspects of the relations that bring together the three countries, to reflect on the strengthening and development of the transport system between them, and contribute to the revitalization of transit traffic and trade."

The meeting comes on the sidelines of the participation of the two Arab ministers in the conference "Challenges of the reality of transport and future aspirations", which began on Saturday in Amman, with the participation of representatives of various local and regional bodies, in order to discuss challenges facing the transport sector at various levels, as one of the most vital services sectors between countries .

The Prime Minister pointed out during the meeting attended by the Minister of Transport Anmar Al-Khasawneh and the Egyptian and Iraqi ambassadors in Amman, the need to build on the outcomes of the meetings that brought together the leaders of the three countries, especially with regard to expanding economic, trade and investment cooperation, and to take advantage of the potential provided by geographical link and strategic location ".

During the meeting, they stressed the cooperation and coordination linking Jordan, Egypt and Iraq in the transport sector, at the level of land, sea and air.

The Iraqi and Egyptian Ministers of Transport affirmed their countries' keenness to enhance coordination with Jordan regarding the transport sector, praising the level of facilities and cooperation provided by the Kingdom to achieve common aspirations, especially as many agreements and cooperation protocols bring the three countries together in various transport sectors.
