Minister of
Industry, Trade and Supply Dr. Tariq Al-Hammouri received at his office
yesterday UAE Ambassador to Jordan Ahmad Ali Al-Balushi and a delegation from
Expo Dubai 2020.
Hammouri discussed with the UAE ambassador and the accompanying delegation the
preparations for the Jordanian participation in the exhibition and the
facilities provided by the UAE side, and mechanisms to enhance economic
cooperation between the two countries in various fields and to maximize the
benefit of the opportunities available in both countries.
He stressed that the government is working to make the Jordanian participation
in the exhibition effective and live up to the big event hosted by the United
Arab Emirates.
"We look forward not only to the Jordanian participation, but to the
success of this event in the UAE and we will do our best to contribute to
achieving its goals within the framework of the distinguished relations between
the two brotherly countries," he said.
The minister pointed to the formation of a national preparatory committee for
the participation of Jordan in the exhibition and continue its work in this
regard, which includes representatives of the public and private sectors.
Hammouri called on the UAE private sector to invest in Jordan in light of the
competitive advantages available and the multiplicity of investment
opportunities in various fields.
For his part, the UAE ambassador said that his country looks forward to
Jordan's participation in the exhibition and that all possible facilities will
be offered to the Jordanian side in this regard.
