Alrai ــــ Exports of the Amman Chamber of
Industry increased during the first half of this year by 12.66% compared with
the same period last year.
Statistical data showed that the chamber's exports rose to 2.355 billion dinars
during the first half of this year compared to 1.984 billion dinars for the
same period last year.
Five Arab and foreign countries accounted for more than half of the chamber's
exports during the first half of this year, at a value of 1.321 billion dinars:
India, Saudi Arabia, the United States, Iraq and Palestine.
The Chamber's exports to the sectors of mining industries amounted to 616
million dinars, chemicals and cosmetics 489 million dinars, therapeutic and
medical supplies 283 million dinars.
Exports of leather and clothing sectors amounted to 228 million dinars, food,
agriculture, livestock, 224 million dinars, engineering, electrical,
information technology worth 183 million dinars, packaging, paper, cardboard
and office supplies 105 million dinars.
The rest of the chamber's exports went to the sectors of plastic and rubber
industries with a value of 73 million dinars, construction 26 million dinars
and finally wood and furniture worth 8 million dinars.
