The Chairman of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, Eng. Fathi Al-Jaghbir, confirmed that Iraq is a vital and strategic market for Jordanian industrial exports. In a press statement during the Jordanian-Iraqi Business Forum, which was attended by business owners and investors from both countries, Eng. Al-Jaghbir stated that the forum was a result of the economic effort led by the Jordan Chamber of Industry in cooperation with the Jordanian Ministry of Industry and Trade,

aimed at increasing the volume of industrial exports to regional countries.

He urged Jordanian industrial companies to carefully study the needs of the Iraqi market and enhance their capabilities to increase exports. He pointed out that Jordan and Iraq have strong political and economic ties, which have been established by the leaders of both countries. There are several economic cooperation projects between the two countries, such as the electrical interconnection project, the oil pipeline from Basra to Aqaba, and the joint economic city project, which encompasses projects for industrial integration, food security, and supply chains between Jordan, Iraq, and Egypt.

He emphasized that the economic relations between Jordan and Iraq are of great significance, as there are numerous projects for cooperation and participation between the two countries in various fields, including trade, industrial production, and agricultural development. The volume of trade between the two countries was 707 million dinars in 11 months, he added.

Finally, he highlighted the significant potential of Jordanian industrial partnerships to meet the demands of the Iraqi market, as well as other markets worldwide, given the competitiveness and high quality of the national industry.
