The Director General of the Income and Sales Tax Department meets with the industrial sector and explains the mechanism for the industrial sector to join the electronic billing system

The Director General of the Income and Sales Tax Department, Dr. Hussam Abu Ali, presented the mechanism of joining the Jordanian electronic billing system and its application, during his meeting Thursday, at the Amman Chamber of Industry in the industrial sector.

The head of the Jordan Chambers of Industry, Engineer Fathi Al-Jaghbir, praised the partnership with the Income and Sales Tax Department, calling for the need to continue to have a real partnership with the industrial sector as the largest employer of manpower.
Al-Jaghbir also called for understanding the situation of the industrial sector, taking into account its circumstances, and giving it sufficient time to join and link to the national billing system.

During the meeting, Dr. Abu Ali announced that specialized sectoral teams have been formed for the categories included in the billing system, with the aim of meeting with them, guiding them, educating them, assisting them technically and technically, and facilitating the procedures for connecting to the system and using one of the platforms that suits each of them, noting that the department has allocated work teams for this purpose to assist Taxpayers, guiding and educating them on how to connect to the billing system.

He pointed out that the billing system was taken into account to be easy to deal with and that it does not impose any costs or financial burdens and costs related to joining, linking and using the groups that are required to issue the invoice and aims to speed up the completion of tax transactions for taxpayers and the speed of their obtaining tax clearance and to enhance confidence between the department and the taxpayers, and it is also possible From unifying the bases and pillars of billing for all taxpayers.

He added that the sectors will be given sufficient time to address any challenges they face in order to harmonize with the Jordanian electronic billing system.

He said that the application of the Jordanian electronic billing system was taken into account when it was developed to match the latest international practices and is considered a qualitative leap in the tax reforms that are applied in the Kingdom and is characterized by ease of use and enjoys high security and is also distinguished by data protection and maintains its confidentiality.

He explained that the national invoicing system is capable of accommodating computerized systems through electronic connectivity and harmonization of computerized systems with the electronic national invoicing system, thus joining all taxpayers from various sectors.

He pointed out that the system enables taxpayers to correct any errors and make any amendments, and in the event of any challenges, problems and obstacles, they will be overcome in dialogue with the concerned sectors.

Dr. Abu Ali said that the system, before announcing its launch, was tested on a number of institutions, companies, and taxpayers, to ensure that everyone is able to use it and connect to it.
