Petra ـــ The value of national exports to EU countries fell by 2.6% in
the first half of this year compared to the same period last year.
Exports to the NAFTA countries also rose by 2.5%, including the
United States of America by 3% and non-Arab Asian countries by 9.4%, including
India by 0.5%.
According to the statistics of the Department of Statistics, the
value of national exports to the Greater Arab Free Trade Area countries
increased by 8%, including Saudi Arabia by 18%.
Imports increased by 9%, including Saudi Arabia by 7.7% and
non-Arab Asian countries by 3.8%, including China by 10.7%.
The value of imports from the North American Free Trade
Agreement (NAFTA) countries declined by 8%, including the United States of
America by 13% and the European Union by 7%, including Italy by 20%.
