Industrialists and traders discussed the opportunities to
strengthen the Jordanian-Palestinian economy and expand the trade exchange
between the two countries, so that Jordanian goods would be a substitute for
Israeli industries in the Palestinian market.
In a joint press
conference held yesterday at the Amman Chamber of Industry, Jordan Chamber of
Industry and Industry Chairman Fathi Al-Jaghbair stressed the necessity of
transferring the continuous cooperation between Jordan, Palestine and other
Arab countries to a more practical step on the ground. Industry, including frequent
visits and mutual meetings, follow up the volume of trade exchanges, and solve
the obstacles facing Jordanian exports to these markets with the concerned
authorities in the Kingdom and in these countries, which benefits all parties.
He added that the
Chamber has taken an approach for several years to establish exhibitions that
include Jordanian industries in several Palestinian areas such as Hebron,
Nablus and Bethlehem. He also welcomed the wide participation in the upcoming
Jenin exhibition from various sectors, Jordanian industrial, educational,
therapeutic and tourism sectors, And putting all the Jordanian expertise at the
disposal of the Palestinians.
He pointed to the
importance of the Palestinian market, as one of the promising markets for
Jordanian industries, and to confirm the steadfastness of the Palestinian
people despite the conditions of the occupation. At the same time, Jordanian
goods enter the Palestinian markets as a substitute for Israeli goods.
The exhibition will be
held in the city of Jenin near the occupied Palestinian territories in the
48th, and it will therefore be easy to visit the businessmen and merchants from
those areas to the exhibition, pointing out that the obstacles put by the
occupation, which led to the lack of A number of participants in these
exhibitions, which are subject to entry permits to participate, will not be
hindered from continuing to establish them annually in the Palestinian
territories.
The head of the Chamber
of Commerce and Industry of Jenin, Ammar Abu Bakr, said that the exhibition
receives great attention and care from officials in the Palestinian Authority,
indicating the importance of expanding trade exchange and strengthening the
economy between the two sides in a larger framework, so that Jordanian
industries will be a substitute for Israeli industries.
On the details of the
exhibition, the organization said that there is direct interest from the
Palestinian presidency to issue the permits on the scheduled date and expected
from 15 to 18 this month to be held from 23-25 in the same month, indicating
that the Jordanian goods participating in the stores.
The conference was
attended by participants at the Jenin Exhibition, representatives of the Jenin
Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Oman Chamber of Industry Mousa Al-Saket, the
committee's decision committee Ahmed Al-Khudari and members of the Board of
Directors.
