According to official data released by the Ministry of Finance, the budget deficit decreased by 11.12 percent after external grants, reaching 483.5 million dinars, by the end of last May, on an annual basis. 

The deficit in the state budget before foreign grants rose by 11.89 percent at the end of last May on an annual basis to reach 574 million dinars. 

The volume of external grants stood at 90.5 million dinars in 5 months, up 12.6 percent year-on-year. 

Total domestic revenue rose by 3.29 percent in 5 months, to 3.029 billion dinars. 

The budget was affected by an increase in total spending during the five months of this year by 4.56 percent year-on-year to reach KD 3.603 billion. 

Current expenditures rose by 5.2 percent to KD3.315 billion during the five-month period, while capital expenditure fell 2.4 percent to KD287.7 million.
