The Director General of Jordanian Customs,
Major General Dr. Abdul Majid Al-Rahamna received in his office yesterday his
counterpart, the Director General of Customs, Excise and Value Added Tax (VAT),
Luay Hanash. During the meeting, many customs issues were discussed between the
two sides.
At the beginning of the
meeting, Major General Rahamna welcomed the guests' delegation and the depth of
the historical and brotherly relations between the Jordanian Customs and the
Palestinian Customs. During the meeting, they discussed the common issues of
mutual interest. The Jordanian customs experience was also reviewed to attract
the latest mechanisms and ways to improve customs work, And the electronic
tracking project and updates according to international specifications suited
to our needs to achieve the optimal goal as well as combating smuggling of all
kinds and forms and electronic connectivity to allow the exchange of
information and experiences between the Fein.
Al-Rahamna stressed the
importance of exchanging information and experiences and benefiting from
customs expertise, stressing that the channels of communication are open. He
added that customs are always seeking to facilitate the process of entering
goods to and from Palestine via the King Hussein Bridge and the Jordan Valley
crossing, and to remove all obstacles facing the process of clearance.

At the end of the meeting, the
delegation expressed its thanks and appreciation to the Director General and
all the employees of Jordanian Customs, appreciating the level reached by
Jordanian Customs in applying the standards and standards of the World Customs
Organization in border controls and facilitating and simplifying procedures.
