The exports of Irbid province
increased by 40.8% in June, reaching 101.1 million dollars against 71.8 million
dollars for the same month of last year, most of them concentrated in the
knitting and leather industry.
The number of certificates of origin issued by the Chamber of Industry of Irbid
for the same month 1697 certificate compared with 1223 certificates for the
same period last year.
Exports of construction industries amounted to 862 thousand dollars, plastic
and rubber industries 0.6 million dollars, packaging, cardboard and office
supplies 177 thousand dollars, food and food industries 1.2 million dollars,
chemical and cosmetic industries 0.81 million dollars, medical industries and
medical supplies 2 million dollars, engineering and electrical industries $ 0.7
million.
The head of the Irbid Chamber of Industry, Hani Abu Hassan, said that most of
the exports came from Al Hassan Industrial City, which accounted for 92% of the
total exports.
He pointed out that the volume of exports of the Chamber of Industry Irbid to
the United States of America accounted for 85%, pointing out that 93.7% of the
exports are within the sector of leather and clothing.
The Jordanian exports to the Arab countries accounted for about 4.5% of the
total exports.
