The Deputy Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of
the Organization of the Sector of Energy and Minerals Engineer Wajdan Rabadi
that no cancellation of any item in the electricity bill for any sector.
Rabadi said in a
statement to the opinion that the Commission has alternatives and proposals are
still under study in respect of claims of the industrial sector to stimulate it.
"We have
alternatives under study that have not yet been decided and will be announced
when they are finalized and agreed upon," he said.
And pointed at the same
time that any final decision in this regard is the powers of the Council of
Ministers.
In response to the
questions, Al-Rabadi indicated that the tariff and its terms are as they are,
not a decision to cancel any of them on any sector or segment.
She stressed that in
the event of agreement on a final formula will be announced in a timely manner
after the approval of the Council of Ministers, noting that the powers of the
Commission come in accordance with the framework of the general policy of the
sector.
She stressed that
within the industrial sector did not specify any of the trends are under study.
The government is
considering granting the industrial sector incentives to support the sector,
where Minister of Industry and Trade Tariq Hamouri discussed the matter with
the Economic Committee in the House of Representatives last week.
He said in a statement
to the opinion that the government is committed to the adoption of the
incentive system on the basis of consultations between the government and the
House of Representatives, stressing the government's keenness to support
national industries.
It is noteworthy that
there were appeals from the industrial sector through the committee that was
formed, the House of Representatives to obtain from the government a commitment
to issue a special system for the industrial sector, under Article 81 of the
new draft income tax law.
