The company's general supervisor Ramzi Nizha said that the number of companies that registered with the control department reached during the first half of this year about 2314 companies in different sectors and goals with a capital of about 82 million dinars. 

Nizha revealed in a statement to Al Rai that the number of companies registered until the end of last month witnessed a decrease of about 500 companies compared with the same period last year, which amounted to about 2816 multi-purpose companies in different sectors with a capital of 56 million dinars. 

He pointed out that despite the decline in the number of registered companies, but registered capital witnessed a significant increase of about 30 million dinars, noting that the increase in capital confirms the seriousness of projects and companies registered for this year compared to last year. 

The number of registered companies in solidarity companies reached 655 companies with a capital of 11.8 million dinars, and a simple recommendation of 220 companies with a capital of 3 million dinars and exempted 42 companies with a capital of 1.1 million dinars and foreign companies branch 6 companies, foreign companies, regional offices 31 companies and non-profit companies with 53 companies with a capital of 1.1 million dinars and joint stock companies limited to 1269 companies with a capital of 28.3 million dinars and private shareholding companies 28 companies with a capital of 36.5 million dinars. 

It is noteworthy that the Companies Control Department is an independent national financial and administrative institution. It is affiliated to the Minister of Industry and Trade under the provisions of the amended Companies Law No. (40) for the year 2002, which issued its administrative regulation No. 44 of 2003 to enhance the efficiency of the applied elements.
