Jordan Phosphate Mines Company confirmed that the transfer of some social networking sites on the company's dismissal of 84 workers on the contract system is totally untrue and has no intention of laying off any of these workers.
The company's CEO, Dr. Shafiq al-Ashqar, said in a press statement on Sunday that the company has not taken any decision on the dismissal of any of its employees, especially those working on the contract system, indicating that the installation of these employees in the company after the evaluation of their performance and according to the need of the company.
A number of employees on the company's contract system, today held a protest in front of the company, at the invitation of the union "lazy workers" in the illegal phosphate sector, with the participation of the president of the union and a number of people who are not working for the company, to demand their installation.
It is worth mentioning that the "blacklisted workers" in the phosphate sector is not registered with the Ministry of Labor under the provisions of Articles 97 and 102 of the Jordanian Labor Law because there is a general legal union recognized for workers in mines and mining.
