Middle East has announced its annual list of the top 100 Arab companies in the
Middle East for 2019, the most important of which is Arab Potash Company, Arab
Bank and Housing Bank.
This assessment was made for
Potash after four measures were taken: sales, profits, assets and market value
of the company, making it one of the 100 most powerful companies in the Middle
East.
Potash sales rose to an
all-time high in 2018, reaching 2.44 million tons compared to 2.36 million
tonnes in 2017, the magazine said.
The company achieved a net
profit of 126 million dinars after deducting taxes, provisions and mining fees
in 2018. The growth rate was 39 percent higher than 2017, and the company distributed
100 million dinars in cash profits to its shareholders.
The production volume of 2,436
million tons in 2018 represented a record level in the company's history, and
the quantities of production and marketing efforts reflected directly on the profitability
of the company.
The company maintained its
position as one of the most important tributaries of the treasury in 2018 by up
to 57% of the net profits of the company and a total amount of 71 million
dinars.
The company is preparing to
enter a new stage of expansion and development to maintain its competitiveness
in the field of production and marketing of potash and in the field of
specialty fertilizers.
