The
income and sales tax department charged with income tax or sales taxes has
called on the initiative to pay the balance of their assets before the end of
June, to benefit from the decision of the Council of Ministers to exempt from
all the fines, which was extended until the end of June.
Musa
Al Tarawneh, assistant director general of the department, said the taxpayers
who did not submit the income tax or sales tax returns could submit the funds
to be issued in the declarations before the end of this month to benefit from
the exemption of fines.
He
explained to the Jordanian News Agency (Petra) that the ministries and public
and private institutions to deduct the income tax from salaries and wages does
not exempt the taxpayers who exceed the annual income limit of exemptions from
the submission of income tax returns, and therefore any employee or user
exceeds the total annual income limit of exemptions obliged to submit The tax
return even if the income tax is deducted from the income that it receives
monthly. The department indicated that
the taxpayers who are not able to pay the full amounts required from them in
their current circumstances can pay the balances due until the end of the
current year.
The
department, charged with not delaying the procedures, called for the exemption
to be lifted until the end of the period set for the 30th of this month to
avoid congestion.
