The
government decided to amend the special tax on oil derivatives gasoline (90, 95
and 98) and diesel, kerosene and liquefied petroleum gas.
The
Director General of Tax Hossam Abu Ali told "Hala Akhbar" that it was
decided to consolidate all taxes and duties and allowances imposed on oil
derivatives with a unified tax, instead of the ratios.
He
explained that this special tax includes all fees and all allowances and any
other charges imposed on petroleum derivatives, to become as follows:
Gasoline
90: 37 piasters per liter
Gasoline
95: 57.5 piasters per liter
Petrol
98: 70 piasters per liter
Diesel:
16.5 piasters per liter
The
kerosene: 16.5 piasters per liter
The
special tax rate per liter was as follows:
Gasoline
90: 18%
Gasoline
95: 30%
Gasoline
98: 30%
Diesel
and kerosene: 6%
LPG:
16%
