Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Dr. Tarik Al-Hammouri
affirmed the government's keenness to support and enhance the competitiveness
of various industrial sectors and enable them to face challenges, which will
positively affect the performance of the national economy.

said that the contacts and meetings with various economic sectors are part of
the government's approach to establishing relations with the private sector.
And discuss ways to support it and enhance its competitiveness to maximize the
national economy.
He added that the ministry, within its work plans, has
coordinated with the Jordan Chamber of Industry to identify the problems facing
each industrial sector as well as take steps to solve them in cooperation with
various relevant authorities.
He pointed out that the engineering, electrical and
information technology sector is one of the most important economic sectors
because of its significant economic contributions. The meeting aims at following
up the efforts exerted to solve the problems facing it.
"We are now beginning to see a real partnership with
the public sector through continuous communication with the Ministry of
Industry, Trade and Supply to solve the problems facing various industrial
sectors as well as joint work to increase exports," said Al-Jaghbir.
The representative of the sector Mohammed Haj Hassan
stressed the importance of working to remove all obstacles facing the
engineering, electrical and information technology industries. It is noteworthy
that the exports of the engineering and electrical and information technology
industries ranked sixth in the sub-industrial sectors in terms of volume of
exports during the year 2017 and the first half of 2018.
