Al-Jaghbir: The Industrial Sector has Witnessed A Great Development Since Independence

The head of the Amman and Jordan Chambers of Industry, Eng. Fathi al-Jaghbir, said that Jordan has become a model of political, economic and social construction despite the difficulties it faces, especially the scarcity of resources and potentials, and the political and security turmoil in some neighboring countries . 

Al-Jaghbir added that the Hashemite leadership is considered the pioneer of independence. The late King Hussein laid the foundations of the modern state of Jordan and created a social fabric that was strengthened by His Majesty King Abdullah II's efforts to build a national economy capable of keeping pace with global economies. Employing technology in various aspects of economic activity and embodying partnership with other countries through free trade agreements. 

He explained that industrial exports have grown in recent decades to reach more than 5 billion dinars, which accounts for more than 90% of national exports. These exports reach more than 130 countries, which include more than one billion consumers around the world. The efforts made by the workers in the industrial sector from the beginning to the present, which led to the achievement of these achievements, pointing to the diversity and development witnessed by Jordanian industrial products in various sectors. 

He stressed the importance of activating the real partnership between the public and private sectors, calling on the government to adopt an industrial development strategy that focuses on marketing and considers the local industry as a basic pillar of the national economy, especially as it is the sector that is able to provide job opportunities and reduce poverty and unemployment, in addition to having great potential to move and stimulate other sectors By creating productive linkages and helping to promote economic independence and reduce trade deficit. 

Al-Jaghbir said that the industrial sector is participating in the celebration of its Independence Day to ensure that it continues to exert its utmost efforts to promote progress and modernity and to respond effectively to His Majesty's initiatives and visions aimed at strengthening the national economy, improving living standards and providing a better life for citizens despite the obstacles and challenges facing this sector in the market. Domestic and export markets.
