Tax revenues in the general budget increased by 3.7 percent
during the first quarter of this year, or 38 million dinars, compared to the
same period last year, according to the Ministry of Finance bulletin.
Tax revenues in the first quarter of this year amounted to
1.048 billion dinars, compared with 1.01 billion dinars in the same period of
2018.Tax revenues accounted for 63.6% of total domestic revenues, which
amounted to JD 1.646 billion in the first quarter of this year.
The general tax on goods and services accounted for the
largest percentage of revenues, reaching JD 701.6 million in the first quarter
of this year compared with KD 712.6 million in the same period last year.
In the first three months of this year, revenues fell by 1.5%
over the same period in 2018. tax revenues and profits in the first quarter of
this year amounted to JD257.5 million compared to KD 201.2 million in the same
period last year.
