The head of the Amman Chamber of Industry, Eng. Fathi Al-Jaghbir, stressed the keenness of the Chamber to facilitate the customs procedures used to relieve traders and provide them with effort and money, and encourage import and export through customs centers and free zones in different regions of the Kingdom.
A delegation from the Amman Chamber of Commerce and Industry briefed him on the progress of work in the ASE Aqaba Customs Area No. 4, stressing that there are no obstacles facing traders in this arena, and all necessary services are provided to traders with the least effort, time and cost. He praised the modern port system characterized by the ports of Aqaba, which match the best ports on the Red Sea coast, pointing out that the Chamber will soon host Arab businessmen to inform them of investments in Aqaba and the Kingdom in general.
A member of the Amman Chamber of Commerce Tariq Tabba said that the cost of shipping to the port of Aqaba less than the neighboring ports, calling on the government and the special authority to review the cost of clearing the goods before their departure to destinations in the Kingdom, stressing that the customs arena No. 4 works to facilitate customs procedures for traders and arrived Goods to the consumer with high quality thanks to the modern customs system, which is currently handled.
The Customs Director of Aqaba, Colonel Salim Al-Shalloul, said that Customs cooperates with the authority, ports and container port within the framework of an advanced strategic plan to facilitate the flow of goods. He pointed out that all the necessary arrangements were made to facilitate the traders especially in the holy month of Ramadan and Eid days to clear their goods and deliver them to the consumer Pleased and easy.
The Secretary General of the Authority, Commissioner of Finance, Administration and Customs Mahmoud Khalifat said that the Authority focused on excellence in the provision of services, pointing out that the customs measures were taken in the square No. 4 to facilitate traders to clear their goods quickly and effort and less money by reducing the rate of stay of goods from 13 days to 7 days and increase the rate of completion of customs transactions thanks to the aggregation in a unified location instead of several sites, in addition to the amendment of the list of car allowance from 50 dinars per night to 25 dinars.
