Al Amoush: Refurbishment of Concrete Concrete for Road
Improvement
Al-Jaghbir: The use of
cement cement contributes to increasing the production capacities of national
factories
Minister of Public
Works and Housing Eng. Falah Al-Amoush confirmed that the Jordanian National
Construction Council has completed the modernization of the concrete concrete
block, as part of the Ministry's policy to develop the technical specifications
of the materials used in highways to increase the heavy weights of the vehicles
and achieve the elements of structural security in them.
Al-Amoush said during a
workshop organized by the Amman Chamber of Industry on Saturday on the use of
cement concrete in paving the streets in the presence of the members of the
Board of Directors of the Amman Chamber of Industry Saad Yassin, Dima Sukhtian
and Tamim Al-Qasrawi. The use of concrete requires the provision of equipment
and materials for concrete road technology and technical expertise The Ministry
of Works is currently using basalt and optimizers in various roads to improve
its quality.
For his part, the head
of the Amman and Amman Chambers of Industry, Eng. Fathi al-Jaghbir, said that
the use of cement concrete in the paving of the streets will open great
prospects for the cement and concrete factories in Jordan to exploit and
increase the available production capacities, in addition to increasing value
added through the use of raw materials and raw materials.
He pointed out that the
transport infrastructure and the road network are of great importance to the
various economic sectors in the Kingdom, especially the industrial sector,
through facilitating the transport of goods and trade, whether for national
exports or for factory imports of raw materials and production requirements.
The Jordanian
Contractors' Association, Eng. Ahmed Al-Yaqoub, explained that the use of
cement in paving roads is worthy of study, and it is necessary to know the
experiences of the countries that preceded us using it. Al-Yaqoub said that
cement has been used in many projects in Jordan, including the Blue Road
project, Amman Ring Road and is currently being used in the Desert Road project.
Dr. Nael Al Husami,
Director General of the Amman Chamber of Industry, explained that the Chamber
has invited speakers and participants from officials and specialists in the
public and private sectors as well as university professors and researchers to
enrich the topics of this workshop, which includes (5) , Dr. Laith Tashman from
the University of Jordan, Dr. Adel Assaf from the German-Jordanian University,
Eng. Amjad Ayoub from the Greater Amman Municipality, Dr. Khairuddin Bseisu
from the University of Jordan and Engineer Dania Benora.
The production capacity
of Jordanian factories producing cement and concrete is about 10 million tons
while the local market consumes 4.5 million tons only.
