Minister
of Industry, Trade and Supply Dr. Tarik Al-Hammouri inaugurated a plant for the
production of premixes (animal food) in the Qastal region, with an investment
volume of 35 million dollars and a production capacity of 65 thousand tons
annually.
Al Hammouri said that the
Kingdom is witnessing an increase in the number of registered capital to
establish strategic projects in the region, indicating that this reflects the
trend to improve economic indicators.
He added that the high-tech
projects are consistent with the general objectives of the state to raise the
movement of exports, which can attract more investors in this area, pointing
out the contribution of those projects in the operation of labour and raise the
indicators of the tourism sector.
The company's regional manager
in the Middle East, Faisal Amer, said that Gargil International has designed
its largest project in the Kingdom in cooperation with a Jordanian investor for
the production of animal food to meet the needs of customers in the Middle East
of products bearing the brand name "Profemi" Concentrates and health
additives added to animal feed.
He said that the company has
followed the establishment of integrated systems to eliminate errors and ensure
smooth cooperation, as well as factors of sustainability, noting that the plant
uses solar energy, which covers about 45 percent of its energy requirements,
which reduces the emission of carbon dioxide.
