Al-Hammouri: Jordanian Exports Have Improved Significantly Since The Beginning of This Year

Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Dr. Tarek Al-Hammouri said that Jordanian exports, especially industrial ones, have witnessed a remarkable improvement since the beginning of this year, expected to be a promising year in this field, which will positively affect the overall national economy. Local industries and generate more jobs. 

Al-Hammouri said during a tour of a number of factories in the city of Salt yesterday, accompanied by the head of the chambers of industry Jordan and Amman Fathi al-Jaghbir and a number of officials of the ministry, we have a great duty to promote the Jordanian industry and provide all possible support and work to overcome All the obstacles and difficulties it faces so that it can compete strongly with other countries, as well as seek to reach new export markets and open them to our products. 

He pointed out that his tour of production plants in the city of Salt comes within the program designed to visit factories in the provinces to see their situation on the ground and to discuss their departments and employees to access mechanisms to help them to improve their manufacturing capabilities and to provide what they need and work to solve any problems they face within our available capabilities. 

Al-Hammouri added that the Ministry of Industry and Trade is working intensively with the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry through joint daily coordination to overcome the obstacles facing the industrial sector, exchanging information between the two parties and passing any comments from the chambers of industry to ministry cadres in order to deal with them. Kingdom or abroad. 

Al Hammouri expressed his keenness to listen to the factory departments and to know all the details of the work on the ground with a focus on finding export opportunities to new markets, either to Africa or Eastern Europe and others, in addition to benefiting from the facilities that were recently introduced to the Iraqi market and opening the border and direct export, And industries were not exported to Iraq in the export of its products, stressing the support of the government, especially the Ministry of Industry and Trade with all its potential this trend. 

The head of Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, Fathi al-Jaghbir praised the initiative of Minister Al-Hammouri to visit the factories in the provinces to get acquainted with their situation in a practical way and to work to solve any problems they face either with government agencies or to help them develop their production and open export markets. Omar Al-Razaz and Minister of Industry and Trade Dr. Tarek Al-Hammouri is highly regarded by the industrial sector. 

He pointed out that what we saw during our tour of a number of factories in Salt confirms the development of Jordanian industry in spite of the challenges facing it, especially on the issue of production costs, which is the main factor limiting the competition with other countries, especially energy costs, which we demand the government to take measures to reduce these costs for Our national industries. 
He stressed that the industrial sector is one of the largest sectors generating employment and employment, so it must be supported in a real way and not only facilitate procedures, but the development of effective mechanisms to reduce the cost of production and energy most prominent. 

He called on the municipalities of the Kingdom to work to provide good infrastructure for industrial zones and sites where there are factories and not to impose fees for the purpose of collection only, these factories are developmental levers in the provinces and occupy the people of the region and be the attractions of support services, so must be well served by roads and lighting and cleanliness This unfortunately does not exist on the ground through what we have seen in our tours. 

The visit included three factories in Salt, the first of which was a motorcycle factory. The factory, which has 700 motorcycles a year, was introduced as the first motorcycle factory in Jordan. The tour included a chocolate factory which produces many locally competitive items And abroad and runs girls and young people from the city of Salt, and visit a factory for veterinary medicines and directly provides 70 jobs and exports its products to a number of Arab and foreign countries.
