Petra - A Jordanian economic delegation concluded a working visit to
Greece, organized by the Jordan-European Business Association (JEBA), in
cooperation with the Hellenic Arab Chamber of Commerce and Development and the
Athens Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
According to a press release issued by (Jeba)
today, Sunday, the delegation headed by the association's president, Ali Murad,
held talks with Greek business owners to enhance trade, investment and tourism
exchange and opportunities for Jordanian products to enter the Greek markets.
The Jordanian delegation included businessmen
representing the sectors of tourism, travel, real estate, energy, food,
agriculture, security, protection, water treatment and sanitation.
During the visit, the delegation discussed
with the Chairman of the Athens Chamber of Industry and Commerce economic and
trade opportunities and ways to enhance them between the two countries. The
meeting also included a presentation on investment opportunities in Jordan.
During the meeting, which was attended by the
Jordanian ambassador to Greece, Ahed Sweidat, members of the delegation
stressed the importance of developing and raising the level of cooperation and
coordination to advance and advance bilateral economic relations.
In addition, during the visit, the delegation
participated in the work of the eleventh Arab-Greek Economic Forum, which was
recently held in the capital, Athens, where bilateral meetings were held
between Jordanian businessmen and their counterparts participating in the forum.
During the visit, cooperation agreements were
signed between JEBA, the Athens Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Greek
Companies Federation, to enhance mechanisms of cooperation and joint
coordination and facilitate the participation of association members in
activities, events, exhibitions, conferences and the exchange of delegations.
It is noteworthy that the Kingdom's exports to
Greece during the past seven months of this year amounted to 11 million dinars,
compared to 25 million imports.
