Al-Hammouri Confirms the Government's Keenness on Boosting and Competitiveness of Exports

Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Dr. Tarek Al-Hammouri affirmed the government's keenness to support and enhance the competitiveness of the national industry and enable it to enter various international markets, especially the Iraqi market and the European Union markets. 

He said during his visit yesterday to the industrial area of Qastal, industrial meeting and investors and roaming in a number of factories, the government will spare no effort in finding appropriate solutions to the problems and constraints of the national industry and take all measures that will support the national industry. 

He added that «the national industry has proven its efforts in many international markets, because of its quality and quality, which requires us to work together to address the problems facing the industrial sector». 

Hamouri pointed out that the ministry and through its sectoral committees are following up with all industrialists their observations and problems and working to solve them first hand, stressing that solving the challenges of the industrial sector in a sectoral sector serves the industry as a whole. 

He pointed out that his visit today to the industrial area of Qastal, confirms the government's keenness to follow up the issues of the sector on the ground, and the need for continuous communication with industrialists in their regions. 

He stressed the importance of the agreements and understandings signed by the government recently with the Iraqi side in boosting Jordanian exports to the Iraqi market, pointing out that the agreements stipulated the entry of trucks in the direction of the two parties and the exemption of many Jordanian goods exported to Iraq from customs duties, . 
He called on the industrial sector to benefit from these agreements, stressing that the ministry will follow up with the industrial sector all the problems that prevent the benefit of the agreements signed with Iraq and the European Union. 

Al-Hamouri, in the presence of Vice President of the Amman Chamber of Industry Musa Al-Saket and Chairman of the Qastal Industrial Society Mahmoud Khader, highlighted the challenges and problems faced by industrialists and investors in the industrial area of Qastal. 

The industrialists summarized their challenges by increasing the cost of energy and income tax and the need of the industrial city to take measures regarding the organization, planning and inspections carried out by the Ministry of Environment, demanding the transformation of the industrial zone into a development zone and reviewing the tax law.
