The Chamber of Industry of Jordan represented by the representative of the engineering, electrical and information technology sector Mohammed Hashim Al-Haj Hassan held a meeting for the advertising industry which is one of the sub-sectors of the engineering, electrical and IT sector with the Greater Amman Mayor to discuss a range of issues and challenges facing this sector and limit its competitiveness.

Mohammed Al-Haj Hassan said that the engineering sector is the second largest industrial sector in the Kingdom, with 26 sub-sectors. The advertising industry comprises 5% of the total. The engineering sector and employs a large number of Jordanian labour.

He also reviewed a matrix of issues that were prepared based on continuous communication with the members of the advertising industry which falls within the responsibility of the Greater Amman Municipality, stressing that these issues led to a decline in the number of industrial establishments working in this field because they cannot continue under The difficult economic conditions experienced by the Kingdom in the past period, and the political circumstances surrounding them.

Saad Yassin, member of the Board of Directors of the Amman Chamber of Industry and representative of the Chamber in the Greater Amman Municipality, stressed the high efficiency of the advertising industry and its ability to meet all the conditions that enable it to produce advertising in a civilized and distinctive manner. Of continuity and competition.

For his part, the Mayor of Greater Amman, Eng. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh stressed the keenness of all government agencies in general and the Greater Amman Municipality in particular to support the Jordanian industrial sector and to provide it with all possible facilities within the Jordanian law and order. He explained the importance of the advertising industry sector and its important role in adding aesthetic touch to the capital Amman through creativity and continuous development of all forms of advertising.

He praised the great role played by the Greater Amman Municipality in supporting the industrial sector and its continuous efforts to develop it. He stressed the need to enhance the partnership between Jordan Chamber of Industry and the legal umbrella for the Jordanian industrial sector and the Greater Amman Municipality in implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II.
