The deputy head of
the border crossings committee in Anbar province (western Iraq) Fahd Al-Rashed
said trucks loaded with goods between Iraq and Jordan resumed movement through
the port of Trebil border after a pause of about seven years.
The Iraqi official
said that the first Jordanian truck was crossed from the port of Trebil to
Iraqi territory after the completion of customs transactions.
He added that the
entry of Jordanian trucks to Iraq is proof of the full security situation,
which will revive the economic movement, especially in Anbar province.
He pointed out that
the trade movement will also help to provide jobs for the unemployed
