The Income and Sales Tax Department said that public and private ministries and institutions to deduct income tax from salaries and wages does not exempt taxpayers whose annual income exceeds the exemption from income tax returns.

The Chamber, which has been in charge of staff and employees whose entry into any one year exceeds the limit of legal exemptions, called for the submission of their declarations to benefit from the decision of the Council of Ministers to exempt fines.

The department explained that the taxpayers whose conditions are not able to pay the full amounts required from them at once can submit an application for the payment of their assets provided that all the amounts due are paid before the end of the current year provided that the legal interest is paid.
