The sectors of economy, trade, agriculture, transportation, health, finance and energy are expected to start implementing the six agreements reached recently between Jordan and Iraq aimed at activating the bilateral cooperation movement between the two countries.

The agreements came after the two countries exchanged visits to senior officials, which culminated in the visit of His Majesty King Abdullah II to Baghdad earlier this year, as well as visits to Prime Minister Omar al-Razzaz, Speaker of the House of Representatives Atef Tarawneh and ministers of trade and economy.

It was also agreed to conduct a review process every six months between the two parties through joint committees and the Jordanian side pledged to follow up the factories of the private sector to prevent the importation of any goods from non-Jordanian origin sources, according to Shammari.
