The head of the Amman Chamber of Industry, Eng. Fathi
Al-Jaghbir, said that the Jordanian industry has developed significantly over
the past 10 years and has reached 130 markets around the world.
"Jordan has returned to its strategic advantage after
opening the land border with Iraq and Syria," he said during a ceremony in
the capital of Doha on the side-lines of the Jordan Industries Exhibition
organized by the International Marketing and Organizing Company (IPCO).
He pointed out that the exhibition, which is attended by 100
different industrial companies and concludes its activities on Friday evening,
aims to introduce the Jordanian industrialists, traders and importers to
Jordan's advanced and pioneering industries from various sectors and expand its
presence and diversification in the Qatari market.
The Jordanian industrial sector seeks to deepen its
relations and networking with its Qatari counterpart, build trade partnerships
and establish joint industrial investments, which will be reflected in the interests
of the two brotherly countries.
He stressed that the Amman Chamber of Industry is keen to
support the participation of industrialists in such international and regional
exhibitions, which is an important marketing station to showcase the products
of various industrial sectors.
For his part, Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI)
First Deputy Chairman Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Tawar Al-Kuwari said that the
private sector in Qatar looks forward to strengthening cooperation relations
with his Jordanian counterpart in various economic fields, especially in the
industrial sector, which is the mainstay of the economy.
In which about 100 Jordanian companies participated, which
will contribute to the strengthening of these relations, as well as the definition
of the Qatari market with Jordanian industrial products, which have distinctive
specifications that make them competitive in the Qatari market.
He pointed out that the Doha hosting of the exhibition comes
in the light of the strong brotherly ties between the two countries. He hoped
that the exhibition will achieve its objectives in promoting the Jordanian
industries among the Qatari business community and that the Jordanian companies
will participate in the exhibition to meet Qatari agents to bring their

He added that the establishment of such industrial
exhibitions contributes to the activation of trade exchange between the two
brotherly countries, which achieved good growth during the past year by 18%,
amounting to 250 million dinars compared to 211 million dinars, despite the
disruption of transport and shipment of goods and goods between the two
countries by land.
Al-Kuwari pointed out that the economic and trade
cooperation between businessmen is in the same way of growth and development.
The Qatari market witnessed the entry of about 210 new Jordanian companies
during the year 2018 through partnerships and alliances with Qatari companies.

The Acting Charge d'Affaires at the Jordanian Embassy in
Qatar, Amjad Al-Mubaidain, affirmed that the establishment of Jordan Industries
Exhibition in Qatar for the second time is an addition to deepening economic
relations between the two countries and developing their trade exchanges.
He pointed out that the two countries' relations are based
on cooperation in various fields. He pointed out that the exhibition is an
opportunity for the Jordanian industrialists participating in it to inform
Qatari investors and businessmen about the national products, their
competitiveness and their quality despite the challenges facing them.
He pointed out that the presence of the direct sea line
between Aqaba and Doha, which will facilitate the transfer between the two
countries and reduce them to eight days, represents a real artery and a
fundamental supporter of the movement of trade exchange and flow of goods.
Al-Mubaidain expressed the hope that the next phase will see
more cooperation to strengthen the two countries' trade, industrial and
investment relations and transfer them to a broader and more welcoming
horizons.
In turn, MP Khamis Attia said that the establishment of the
Jordanian Industries Exhibition in Qatar represents a message to the depth of
the relations between the two brotherly countries and the joint Arab
cooperation to serve the industry and to support the flow of goods between
Jordan and Qatar.
"We in Jordan cherish the good relationship with the
sisterly State of Qatar and we cherish the relationship that His Majesty King
Abdullah II established to His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir
of the State of Qatar, and we look forward to strengthening and developing economic
relations.
"We in Jordan highly value the initiative of the Qatari
leadership to support the national economy and provide job opportunities and
jobs for Jordanian youth in Qatar."
The Director General of APCO Raed Abu Saada thanked the
Qatari side for its continuous support for the success of the Jordanian
Industries Exhibition in Doha for the second time in a row.
Abu Saada said that the need to establish the exhibition was
closely linked to many different bodies, especially the Chamber of Commerce and
Industry of Qatar and the Amman Industry Association and the Jordanian
Investment Authority and the Jordanian Embassy.
He pointed out that the organization of the exhibition came
to open new markets to the national industry and networking with the owners of
the Qatari industrialists, noting that the companies that participated in the
first exhibition organized in 2016, have achieved good successes.
Jordan exports to the State of Qatar plant products, live
animals, chemical industries, machinery, machinery, food, plastics, stone
products, ordinary metals and various commodities and products, while importing
mineral products, plastics, metals and chemical industries.
